Lovely Sherry Morgan’s 76th birthday fell on May 28, 2023. Sandwiched between Memorial Day and July 4, it seemed that a patriotic theme would be appropriate for her party. (Although it must be added that Sherry does not look anywhere close to 76 years of age.) Jose’s once again provided the perfect venue for a gathering. Charming Gabby was a magnificent server aided by excellent helper Eduardo. Seating was for 15 folk, but chairs had to be added as more and more friends arrived. Food and drink were great. Then came desserts. Janet Leigh Davis baked a most deliciously gooey carrot cake. Elinor Tinsley’s rendering of Red Velvet cupcakes was an artistic feast for eyes and an epicurean delight for palates. As usual Rita Moseley supplied the necessary cutlery, plates, and napkins. Cards and gifts were passed around while guests enjoyed eating Sherry’s birthday cakes. Sherry and Elinor shared desserts with Jose’s fine employees.
It was a fun filled party. Attendees departed with full tummies and containers of cake slices. Sherry Morgan’s 76th birthday party definitely proved that the SPIRIT OF 76 is still thriving!
