The Power of Prayer

Sometimes life throws you a curve – you should consider it a Wake Up Call. I try to visit my children and grandchildren as often as possible without being a pest. I take it for granted that I can stop in and stay with them at the drop of a hat, I take it for granted they’ll always be there. Last Wednesday, I got to visit the oldest two grands, we ate enchiladas and played Mexican Train. My granddaughter called it quits on the game and went to lay down on the sofa. That’s when we realized she was burning up with fever.

A trip to the ER on New Year’s Eve, then transported to ICU at Texas Children’s Hospital early New Year’s day. Bottom line, she’s out of ICU, and we’re waiting for the fluid in her lungs to dissipate. She’s a tough girl, and we love her To the Moon and Back.

We believe in the power of prayer and we thank God our girl is back with us – our oldest grandchild – precious people are they all.

GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you.
