Wardrobe change

GO_0401Life is simpler these days, in terms of wardrobe anyway. These days, my closet holds hanging t-shirts of all varieties, jeans, crop pants and shorts. Gone are the days of nice blouses and slacks, skirts and pretty sweaters. Those clothes are tucked away in the upstairs closets along with the cute little patent leather shoes or wedge pumps. I still have this love affair with shoes, but they’re flip flops, easy slip on Keds or Sketchers, and the garden tennis shoes or the nice tennis shoes that can be worn out in public. The Clorox spray bottle resides over the washing machine for our grass and dirt stained socks. They get so beat up with all the gardening work and mowing, but they still cost too much to become disposable. I wouldn’t change our “change of life” for anything. It’s almost like only having the choice of a uniform when it comes to getting dressed in the morning. Let’s see, which T-shirt should I wear with which pair of jeans???

GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you.
