An opportunity for Community Involvement: Transportation Ministry

by First Baptist Church Crystal Beach
We as a church are committed to the process of acquiring a van for the purpose of transporting people on the peninsula for various needs and situations. Largely this ministry is for the picking up and delivering of children to and from church activities on Sunday’s and other programs the church offers. The “Remnant” Youth Ministry of the peninsula transports teenagers to various events locally and to other areas of the state, making a real difference in their lives. We know that there are many opportunities for the “More Mature” adults to be enjoyed, but group transportation interferes with them being fulfilled. There are people among us who need and must have transportation to doctor’s offices and sometimes treatment centers, but are unable to go due to a lack of transportation.

These are just a few examples of need and purpose for launching this ministry, we know there are more purposes.

We are inviting you as an individual or business to invest if you would like to help us in this great opportunity to serve our community. First, by praying for our success. Secondly, by contributing finances toward the acquisition of the van. We have set an amount not to exceed $20,000.00 to purchase the van. Currently we have cash and pledges of $7,500.00 toward that goal. We are only going to ask people to invest until October 31, 2012, at which time we will have the van identified and readied for purchase. All donations should be made to First Baptist Church Crystal Beach, and will receive a “Charitable Contribution” letter for tax purposes for the year of 2012. If you have any questions please feel free to call Agnes Schultz, FBCCB @ 409.684.4413, Tue-Thurs 9-12 or Joe Schilleci @ 832.372.5174 832

Thank you for your desire to partner with us as we serve our community through this ministry.

God Bless You for your generosity.
