The First Annual Dabney Harrison Memorial Golf Tournament was held on Saturday at The Ranch Golf Course. The heavy fog didn’t stop the 48 golfers from teeing up that morning, though it did require a little extra concentration. “You can’t see where your ball lands,” remarked one participant. “If you’re not familiar with this golf course, you’re at a huge disadvantage.” Thankfully, by mid morning, the fog cleared and the scores dropped accordingly. As the beverage carts kept everyone in good spirits, grilled sausage sandwiches were provided by Seaside Lumber. The golfers finished their rounds and an exciting final shootoff was necessary to determine third place.

Dabney Harrison was a long time resident, avid golfer, and former owner of Seaside Lumber Company. He spent countless hours keeping the course in playable shape for all golfers to enjoy. The current owners of Seaside teamed up with The Ranch to host this first annual event to honor Harrison’s memory.
