The Hardheads Bolivar RIG RUN is first and foremost a FUN RUN, mixing more than 15 classes of boats all with different ratings in one race. The purpose of the RIG RUN is to help promote sailing in a fun and competitive way. The format allows sailors of all skill levels to compete with the best of the best and learn a few things along the way. The Bolivar venue allows sailors to showcase their skills in front of thousands of people on the 27 mile long peninsula.
The RIG RUN has grown from 4 boats 9 years ago to 45 this year, clearly the largest number of beach catamarans on the Texas Coast in 25 years.

Congratulations to all who took part or witnessed this bit of Texas sailing history. The Bolivar Yacht Club is grateful for the tremendous support from our loyal sponsors who generously share our enthusiasm for such a specular community event.

We hope to see everyone back August 10th, 2024!!
