Gone are my days of sleeping in … For a while anyway. We’re adding on to the house, a master bedroom, master bath and an office. The pilings went up in a jiffy and the framing is going like wildfire. They’re banging into the side of the house, so everything on the walls or on shelves had to be brought down or is falling down. The windows on the original side of the house, had to come out and are being reused on the new side of the house. Needless to say, before it’s dried in, those holes had to be boarded up – pretty depressing and dark now. Oh, and the worst part is losing my kitchen window. I have no idea what my neighbors are doing over there. No more snooping …
It’s like losing my porthole to the world.
