Well, if you haven’t already…Jacque Uerling works for the Galveston County Parks Department Beach Parking Program. During the months of January and February, you can buy them at a reduced fee of $5! Jacque has already sold over $15K so far this year. After February, the Permits are $10, so hurry in! The Parks Department sold over $420,000 in parking permits in 2013. Jacque has worked for Galveston County for three years. She is the brightest star around, always dressed in fluorescent pink or green. She is the sweet spoken, smiling personality who drives the beaches and kindly hands out permits to those violating the system – “$10 Please.” Oh yes, if you are creating a mess around you, she may also hand you a trash bag…always with a smile!
