I have been out a few weeks for several reasons, so this will be a jumble mess of activities. First, I have been in unbelievable pain for about a month. Sitting without a heating pad does not work. Standing for chopping and dicing was horrible to the point of tears. Thank goodness for my sister-in-law. Vickie has been such a great help. The sciatic nerve will drive you to the emergency room faster than anything. That is where I spent Friday when the rest of the world was shopping and trying to find a parking space.
The next week was all doctor appointments, ugh! Friday, Dianne took me to an athletic shoe store in Pearland. I need to be able to walk in January and February as I am going on several cruises with friends and cousins. That’s another story! I tried on several pairs of tennis shoes and then I tried on a pair that made me smile. Suddenly, my hip and back were not hurting. You better believe I purchased those wonder shoes!
Anyway, back to the present. After doctor appointments and a trip to Wally World for drugs, I stayed home for a few minutes. The rest of the weekend was spent with pills and heating pad.
Oh yes, Saturday, my church group had a Christmas luncheon at Perry’s Steak House – So Good! If you are having an event, give Perry’s in Friendswood a call, excellent food, and a good price. We brought items for a children’s home. Much better than gifts we don’t need. After that, I limped home for a nap and my heating pad.
Sunday was a sad day; I attended a funeral for one of my bestie friend’s husband who passed away last week. It wasn’t until I went into the closet to find something to wear that it dawned on me it was the first funeral I had attended since RR passed. Dianne & Chris attended to hold my hand, what a great family I have!
The only pictures I have for the last few weeks are from Thanksgiving. This is the first year after RR passing and Rene’ is carving the turkey. Good Job Rene’, Dad would be so proud of you.
