What is it about endurance??

We had family come in for the weekend, so out to Stingaree we went on Friday night. The band was great and the company so wonderful! We got up early Saturday to set up for the Cook Out, cooked and served all day Saturday. The Spring Break crowds were plentiful, for as little advertising as we managed to get out before the event. We bought 3 dozen crabs from Joe’s, cleaned and cooked them up with some steak on the grill, corn on the cob and some cheesy potatoes, what a feast! Brandon and I managed to devour about 10 crabs each, let those landlubbers have the steak. The others are a little too impatient to pick and crack crabs, that’s okay, we were happy to hoard the lot.

My evening had to come to an early end, flight plans for the morning out of Intercontinental at 5am. My husband was driving me to the airport at 2am, very little sleep had either of us gotten. I arrived on the Eastern coast before Noon, greeted by 4 grandchildren, what a treat for Grandma! One grandchild just getting over the dreaded stomach flu, another just getting it, another leaving to go back home to Texas and the baby oblivious to all of it so far!Oh well, needless to say, lots of laundry, lots of beds to change, a pretty good rest last night, and up to begin again this morning. I love it and wouldn’t trade it for all the tea in China!

Hint: A couple of ways to avoid getting IT, drink lots of cranapple and/or wine. I’m doing just that!

GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you.
