About Us

CrystalBeachLocalNews.com started in July, 2007 as a one-page online newsletter, “Neighbors Networking with Neighbors”, featuring news and events, announcements and photos for you to find out about, and participate in, what’s going on in Crystal Beach and Bolivar Peninsula. Over the years, CBLN continued to grow, always with the purpose to provide fresh and entertaining content in every edition.

Founded by Bolivar resident Pamela Couch, it started with one page and about 50 hits per week. It has now grown to multiple pages and over 1000 web hits per week. This is because of YOU, the Local Business Sponsors who helped support the expense, and YOU, the Community who shared all their stories and happenings, and YOU, the READERS, who have come to depend on CrystalBeachLocalNews.com as their “Information Source” to Bolivar Peninsula. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You and Thank You.

On July 4, 2011, CrystalBeachLocalNews.com partnered with another website well known in the community, www.CrystalBeach.com. CrystalBeach.com is a favorite website for residents, homeowners, and visitors to the beach, and has been around since the mid-1990s providing information about Crystal Beach and the Bolivar Peninsula. Tom and Georgia Osten are webmasters, and have a broad knowledge of the beach.

If you have a story to share, a photo to display, a question about the beach, or comment about the newspaper, we would love to hear from you.

Thanks,
