Celebrate your Chamber of Commerce

October 18- 22 was officially proclaimed “Chamber of Commerce Week” in Texas by Gov. Greg Abbott in September. Gov. Abbott stated that the more than 600 local chamber of commerce in Texas “provide a critical link in the communities they serve by fostering a vibrant business environment, promoting local projects, and paving the way for small businesses to thrive.

The Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce has been dedicated to our local business community throughout the challenges in 2020 and 2021. Not only do we help with guidance to prospective new business owners but we have worked on issues which affect our local businesses with our local, state and federal government officials. As our Mission Statement reflects, we are here “to promote a strong local economy and make Bolivar Peninsula a very special place to live, work and play.”

Our Chamber Board are all volunteers who give of their time for the betterment of the local businesses. We have many volunteers who assist us in our tasks. If you happen to see one of these members or volunteers, I encourage you to thank them for their time and dedication to the Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce.

I personally want to thank Chamber Board Members Anne, Sharon, Cathy, Cherie, Tim and Lance and our Office Manager, Tracie, for all of the hard work they have done and continue to do for the Chamber of Commerce.
