You won’t believe this but a lot of stuff happens while I am just standing on the deck at my shop. Last week a lovely lady walked up and asked me what Aron was doing with the scrap wood from a job he was working on in the back of his truck. “Well he was planning on taking it to the Bolivar Sanitation to discard it.” So anyway, I asked what she wanted it for. She was building a deck and needed only a little more scrap wood to complete it. She proudly announced that she had built the entire deck from scrap wood. Well they did a mighty fine job of cleaning the truck bed out. They also came by the house and grabbed a few more pieces from Aron’s surplus pile.

Once again, I started thinking about what other artists do to recycle? There is a lady who grew up in Fairfield who does picket fence fish. Another lady does what she calls Fish Stx. Same thing. We have a couple of artists in Crystal Beach who do an awesome job of recycling. Paula Broussard is a talented artist who does the picket fence fish aka fish stx sold in my shop. Casey Adams does the recycled metal fish sold in Amy’s Boutique. Below is a sample of recycled metal fish and fish stx.

Metal Fish made from recycled hurricane material, made in the U.S.A.
