BAYVUE VBS was FUN! FUN! FUN!

Children and adults took the “plunge” on Saturday, August 24 and dove right into a great Vacation Bible School. It was hard to tell who enjoyed the event more: the children or the helpers. Cleo Phillips, Mary Raney, Pastor Marty and Nichol Boddie, Kathy Tucker, Kailey Tucker, Carmen Schultz, Brenda and Tommy Hughes, Rita Moseley, Terry Molloy and Sara Kraft provided entertainment, yummy food, crafts, songs, stories and a kayak for pictures. Hannah and Zoe Rennison, Ricky, Jackson, Samantha and Matthew Boddie jumped right into each event. They were joined by Brooklynn Tucker, Imani and Imaria Williams, and Marcus Green. These folk participated joyously in all of the offerings.

Then, for a grand finale, Mary Hernandez showed up to lead everyone in Zumba Dances. They shook, they jumped, they dived, they roller coasted, and they created snake arms. Allof this was accomplished to lively music provided by Zumba Mary. When the one day VBS ended, tired, but happy, children headed home. Each one clutched a bag of special gifts prepared for them by generous adults. The children performed for the BayVue United Methodist congregation on Sunday morning.

This was a most happy VBS. Thank you, sponsors and attendees!
