Beach Bar & Property Appraisal Increases

People need to be aware – if they allow this a bar in one residentail area, don’t think they won’t do the same in other neighbhoods. We’re not considered a upscale subdivision so they think they can get away with it. We all had to rebuild except for a few. We’re proud of our homes and are working hard to improve the image of the Blaylock area. We are not against partying but take it up to the highway. We already deal with enough at the “ZOO.”

Also, the lot where the bar might be is what the county is using to justify the major tax increases in LAND prices. The county failed to disclose this in the hand outs we received from them for appeal purposes. We had our appeal and lost big time! Good luck to all! (Gary & Sue Bassett, 5-17-12)

If you don’t agree with it, don’t go….if enough people don’t patronize it, then it will not prosper. I do not, however, expect there to be a law saying it can’t be there….

I agree with you. I do drank, but I don’t want to see a beer stand on the beach! I camp on the beach every chance I get and have had to deal with the “ZOO”. 20 years ago it was ok, but not so much any more. Don’t think it will stay in business very long…we all bring our own.
