We all wondered if it could happen and on May the 1st it did. HGTV came to Crystal Beach to film the popular show “Beach Front Bargain Hunters.” Luz Gray, Broker Associate, with COBB Real Estate was contacted in April to be on the show which spends a day with potential buyers as they look at 4 homes and try to meet all of their wish list items while staying within budget. The filming took place at 964 Palm Ridge, the bargain house; 1755 Redfish, the middle of the budget; 881 Melody, smaller but newer; 215 Galveston, everything but not new! The crew also filmed the buyers on the beach in front of Melody Lane as well as at Fort Travis. A portion of the interview section was filmed on the deck of Steve’s Landing. They also took many shots off the ferry, of the light house, and along the beachfront. The weather was sunny and the water was a beautiful blue with no seaweed. This is wonderful coverage for the Peninsula, as this show is popular around the world. Watch for more information on the release date.
