Cabin Fever

What to do when it rains for a few days in a row? It’s called the “I don’t wanna’s,” it’s Cabin Fever. I’m usually very resourceful when it comes to projects to do around the house, but this morning when I woke up, all I could think about was tackling those stickers out in the yard. I planned to spend a couple of hours outside digging them up one by one. That Ortho stuff I sprayed on them over a week ago didn’t do anything – they look healthier than ever.

GO_1027-1Oh well, not a day for the outdoors. The Driftwood Chili Cookoff managed to squeeze in their event yesterday before the downpours began. Good for them!

I managed to finish another dress for my 7 year old granddaughter yesterday. She’s the only one who will wear handmade clothing “With Love From Grandma.” I could start another one today, but something came to mind – a little devil planted the thought in my mind. Unable to resist myself, I asked my husband to bring the folding table upstairs. I’ve been wanting to do this for close to a year now, and I’m finally going to give way to temptation – It’s PUZZLE TIME!!!

GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you.
