FORE in Support of our Chamber

Another glorious Bolivar day led way to the annual Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament on Saturday. With clear skies and a cool breeze, seven teams, twenty-eight players, teed off in celebration of this “Chamber of Commerce Day.” Following the Calcutta on Friday night, the golfers began their game promptly at 8 am on Saturday morning. Hole after hole, they made their way around the course with the support of Nauti’s drink ladies offering beverages to quench their thirsts. The ever-present $10,000 prize was lingering for the lucky golfer that may score a Hole-In-One on hole #3. Then hole #8 offered prize money for Closest-to-the-Pin. Hot dogs provided by Traveling Tiki, Salty Dogs Lawncare, and The Big Store were awaiting the contestants at the turn.

After the scorecards were tallied, a tie for first place forced a playoff shootout. Clint Williams nailed the 100 yard shot to within a few feet of the pin. Joined by teammates Daniel Groberg, Todd Atkins, and Tim Hammond, they collected the first place money.

Thank you to the Chamber of Commerce, the generous sponsors, the many volunteers, and the golfers for participating and celebrating Bolivar.
