If the shoe fits…

I was presented with a sign the other day, I need to find a frame for it, and I know exactly where I’ll hang it. I think it was made just for me and I think the artist must know me. All of it is so true. I recently took about 4 pairs of shoes to Second Going. They were so cute they got snatched up immediately, or so I hear. Now I have a lot of room for some new ones. I absolutely adore my dog, but I’m not so sure she adores me back. She picks on me ruthlessly – I’m told it’s because I let her. I tried to introduce her to The Box – “Here Lies Ruby” the other day, she barked frantically, as if Ruby was going to pop right out – go figure.

My friends are very special indeed, they must be to put up with me and sometimes they invite me to go places with them. As for cocktails – well, I’m not fancy, a bit redneck you would think, but I always come back to a nice glass of red wine, not expensive, and the colder, the better. I hope you’re all fortunate enough to have a sign that describes you to a tee – I think I’ll ask the family to have this etched on my “Box” when I need one. Heck, Maezy will probably bark at it, too.

GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you.
