It is a New Year with New Kitchen Ideas!

“HOW TO”… Use “the best of your space!….Have Fun!

I think that these dish/storage drawers are the best thing I have ever used. I put all of my dishes in drawers using this system. It is basically a pegboard system using large pegs so you can organize whatever you want and they will not move when you open your drawers. Today a lot of kitchens have the large drawers and they can easily be fitted with this system. This is available at Home Depot as a special order and also on-line. The system is a piece of pegbord that fits the pegs that are included. They can be moved anywhere that you want to organize your drawers. As you see in the picture, there are many ways to use it. I used it for two complete sets of dishes. The great thing is the ability to move the pegs to fit whatever your needs are. I love drawers because I can get to the back of them. With cabinets they are just as deep but I usually can’t get to the back of them. The situation becomes Frustration X 2. You will not regret it if you just try it on one deep drawer! Let me know what you think!

“HOW TO”… Bring some Bling into your life!….Have Fun!

I have seen seashell with rhinestones that are a piece of art on their own. You can choose any type of shell that you wish but there are shells like this Green Turbo that really shows off the bling you put on it. Any hobby shop will have self stick rhinestones. I have found that there is an easier way. If you look at this picture closely you will see that they used a product that you can find at Fabric stores. It is sold by the yard and is a string of rhinestones that are connected. Using glue it is so much easier to attach the bling. If you are adventurous and are planning on doing this to many shells there are heat activated rhinestones. They are attached by using a iron that looks like a soldering gun. It has many different sized tips so whatever size you use, it will fit. Of course since I am a crafter I just had to have this. IT was easy to use and I used it on a beautiful sea biscuit and it is gorgeous! As always I would love to hear from you about your projects.

Thank you for reading. I have enjoyed it! I enjoy your emails. I look forward to helping you with your decorating dilemmas.
