It’s all about team effort!

On Sunday, Community Outreach and Bolivar Peninsula Lions Club gathered at Second Going to bag food for our adopted Christmas Families. Each family will receive a food basket, compliments of Community Outreach. A special thank you to Eve Bradford. Charlotte Byus of Second Going began gathering community families’ wish lists before Thanksgiving. Jan Kent provided names of several High Island families. The wish lists provided children’s ages, pant sizes, shoe sizes and shirt sizes. By Thanksgiving, we had 25 families, 75 children. By the first of December, another 10 families had signed up. Thank you to all the wonderful people of Bolivar who have come forth to help fund this project of Giving. Pictured below are BP Lions Club, Second Going and Community Outreach folks, all working together. What an impact we can make by joining forces! With your help, so many families of our community will have a nicer Christmas.
