Kiss-Kiss Fish

Take Coconuts, 55 women, add free-flowing wine, Larry, Mo & Curly, and 9 colors of paint on a paper plate and what do you have? Well, I’ll tell you! It’s called Painting With a Twist and it was a grand party hosted by Anne Willis of Swedes and conducted by Donna & Jerry Mittendorf. Donna’s helpers, Susan and Anya, led the painting project with ease and charm. The tables and easels and ergonomic chairs were all set up, our aprons ready to be tied on. We were warned if paint got on our clothes, we have approximately 2 seconds to get to the ladies room to wash it off. Oh well …

Our painting project was what I called a Kiss-Kiss Fish. We all basically started off with our instructor, painting the background, careful not to “color out of the lines.” Oh, I forgot to tell you, Larry, Mo & Curly were our paint brushes, different sizes, different effects … right! As the evening progressed, the paintings got more vivid and out of control. Everyone’s “inner artists’ quality” began to seep out. Oh, but we were so proud of these masterpieces. If you’re looking for a good time, call Donna & Jerry. Their shop is located in LaMarque, another location to be added in Deer Park.
