Our Inaugural Fun In The Sun Golf Cart Poker Run was held expressly to help the youth of Bolivar with school supplies.
This week, Crenshaw Elementary & Middle School and High Island ISD received a very bountiful gift from the Bolivar Peninsula Lions Club. With all the proceeds from the Golf Cart Poker Run, so much more than ever imagined, the Lions Club was able to provide school supplies for ALL the students! Another way the Bolivar Peninsula Lions Club is “giving back” to the community. We Serve
The event wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our sponsors: Beachside RV, The Big Store, Brint Construction, The Eagles, Farmers Insurance, Gabourel Insurance, Kites Unlimited, Remax, Steve’s Restaurant, and Swede’s Real Estate. And, all the “refreshment” stops along the way: Coconuts, Tiki Beach Bar & Grill, The Eagles & Stingaree/Down Under! Not to mention all the donations received for the silent auction and all the people who turned out to have fun and generously give to this worthwhile cause.
