Ah Youth

Georgia's Sand BucketBy Georgia Osten
We had a visit from The Littles this past weekend. Oh my goodness, you would’ve thought it was summer time already. They arrived noonish on Saturday after their baseball practices. When I arrived home from my Galveston shopping, they were all in the hot tub. While I hurried up to make their favorite “red” Jello, they talked Daddy and PawPaw into taking them to the beach. This was Winnie’s first trip to the beach, she loved it. Winnie is their Christmas Pet delivered by Santa on Christmas morning. She’s a Burmese Doodle.

You would have thought it was blazing summer, all the kids and all the dogs jumped in the chilly Gulf water! Back home, stripped and jumped back into the hot tub. The pool had been cleaned from a long winter’s nap, so it was jumped into as well.

Grandma had a washer full by then – Oh Happy Days!

After dinner, the Jello hadn’t set yet, so we found some Blue Bell with Hershey syrup. For the first time, I put The Littles upstairs by themselves in the queen size and the day bed and trundle. Snug as bugs!

Sunday morning another trip to the beach, Pierce getting emerged in the water, that’s our “Beach Boy!”

A Shot in the Arm for me and PawPaw, can’t get enough of these Grands!
