The Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce held Board of Director elections last Tuesday night during the general membership meeting at Coconuts. There were eight candidates vying for four open positions. Chamber President Brenda Flanagan opened the meeting by welcoming everyone in attendance and allowing each of the candidates to give a short speech. Ballots were passed out and the voting was concluded in short order.
While the ballots were tallied, Chamber Secretary Destiny Martin narrated a slide presentation introducing the Chamber of Commerce’s new website and marketing program. The Chamber is launching their ‘Rediscover Bolivar Peninsula’ campaign to increase awareness of what Bolivar has to offer and to attract new visitors to our unique community.
