I Call

Yes, the house was rolling the other night. Hunting the next morning, so the boys were in town. Happy Hour began when Bill pulled into the driveway – Thanks Bill! Joe shows up with his baby lab – male and un-neutered, Matthew shows up with his two female dogs, who, along with Maezy, drove Cody crazy. He was overly amorous and quite confused by the whole array of females. Needless to say, he had to spend much of the time in his kennel, poor pup.

Matthew brought a lot of red fish he caught recently, and Tom made up a creamy shrimp sauce poured over the top. Grandma made a pizza just in case anyone didn’t fancy fish. Bill tore into his red fish and claimed it needed to be nuked just a bit, no quite done. So I start digging through mine, just to check. I asked him how we would know, he replied, “If it’s still wiggling.” RIGHT … I asked for that one!

A rousing game of poker ensued after we picked up the dinner dishes. Oh my goodness, if I thought the progesterone level was high before, just try playing poker with a bunch of guys. I think we all bought in for around $10, I came home with $2, Tom nothing, Joe nothing and Bill and Grant stole the show. True poker players they are, they wouldn’t tell us how well they did. Grant started off the night with $40, I know that much. He helped a lady in the ferry line by jumping her battery, she insisted on giving him $40. Sweet Boy!

Ducks were a success, not lucky ducks by the way, 26 met their demise along with 2 geese. Happy hunters were they.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Count your Blessings!

GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you. Email: [email protected]
