This week, we received notice Royal Caribbean will have a 30 day suspension for all ships. This includes both of our ships, The Liberty of the Sea and The Enchantment of the Sea, and all ships from US ports. I guess we all knew it was coming. I do have to say, I am so glad that Royal Caribbean was able to stop sailings without any incidents. You know (virus). I must tell you our last CDC inspections were Liberty, 98%, and Enchantment was 100%, that says so much. WE ARE GREAT!
What to do!?? Well I started this week playing in dirt, I love it! It is spring time and new beginnings for all things. Fresh plants deserve clean pots and saucers so I got out the bleach, water and 5 gallon bucket. I have very clean hands and fingers. I will pass CDC inspection. While waiting for the pots to soak I looked at my stand RR made me years ago and decided I have time, let’s redo! Of course, RR had to make a new seat for it as the 10 year old was in bad shape. Out comes the saw, big measuring tape, triangle thing that keeps your lines straight, and pencil. My job was to hold the boards, you see, I do not do straight very well.
All boards are cut now and ready for sanding and painting. I love to paint, but sanding is no fun for me. I get this look from RR, so I get out the box with sander and paper and get to work. Darn he is always right about wood. All boards are now sanded and ready for paint. Oh Boy, you see I look really good in all colors of paint. This paint is enamel and doesn’t come off with soap and water, now I’ll be clean with acetone.
By now you must have figured out that life will go on even it we need to stay at home. RR does not know it yet but his Honey Do list is getting longer and we have a whole 30 days to work on it!
There are so many ways to look at this situation you can do doom and gloom or have fun with it. Write a book, get out the paint and paint a picture, you get my drift.
Just do the rest of us a favor, please only buy two packs of toilet paper at a time.
