Teacher Appreciation

By Linda Elissalde
Teachers! They plant seeds of knowledge, they inspire our dreams, they protect and defend us, they educate and love us even when we are not being particularly loveable, and yes, from time to time, they correct. What would we do without them? We can all remember some teacher who made a difference in our lives.

Bay Vue United Methodist Women (UMW) showed their gratitude to Crenshaw School’s faculty and staff during National Teacher Appreciation Week, May 5 – May 11, 2019. The ladies prepared salads and desserts for lunch at the school Wednesday, May 8. UMW President Cindy Hunt and members served up myriad types of unique salads and deliciously divine desserts. Crenshaw educators came by the room to load up on these succulent offerings and enjoyed a quiet lunch with fellow workers.

UMW had a grand time honoring these folk and were delighted to show their gratitude. They agreed that teachers change the lives of millions of children every day, and their impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom. Thank you, teachers. We appreciate YOU!
