National Teacher Appreciation Day, also known as National Teacher Day, is observed on the Tuesday of the first full week in May. This day is a part of Teacher Appreciation Week, which is the first full week in May of each year.

UMW President Cindy Hunt coordinated the enterprise. UMW and Bay Vue members brought succulent salads and mouthwatering desserts to Crenshaw. Teachers and staff loaded up their during their luncheon breaks. Principal Terri Ward and others enjoyed the delicious homemade goods.
