C.L. Garey passed away on Saturday, losing his battle with cancer. He will be missed by many. Pastor C.L. Garey’s life celebration is Wednesday May 1 at First Baptist Church in Crystal Beach. Visitation is 1 pm, Service 2 pm. Rest in Peace dear friend.

Raymond William Blume, 52, of Crystal Beach, passed away at his residence Tuesday August 14, 2012 He was born on August 27, 1959, in Galveston, to Elsie Lee Bouse Blume and Carlton Edgar Blume. Raymond was a long time resident of Crystal Beach who enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends. He was employed with the family business,
Jerry Valentine’s Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Crystal Beach on Saturday March 10th at 2 PM. His family is asking to please only bring dessert, and other items may be dropped off in the fellowship hall before the service.
Jerry was a very spiritual connection for many people on the Bolivar Peninsula and had touched many lives.
Charles M. Stagg died February 20th at UTMB Burn Center in Galveston. Born June 1939 in Beaumont, Texas, he lived many years in Orange County. Mr. Stagg participated last April in the art benefit sponsored by The Painted Ladies Art Group for the Crystal Beach V.F.D. Before Hurricane Ike he had also held an art exhibition on the Bolivar Peninsula.
