Disc Dogs Soar in Crystal Beach

Crystal Corral Horse Camp

The Crystal Corral Stables hosted the Peninsula’s very first 3-day Horse Clinic. Fifteen girls, ages 9-14, arrived for 11:30 am check in Friday morning. This past Saturday, the Gilchrist Community Association served up over 30 gallons of gumbo to hungry fisherman at Rollover Pass. The Gulf Coast Redfish Tour plans on bringing a BIG Trout Tournament to Stingaree Bait Camp & Marina for its 2013 tournament tour. Gulf Coast Tournament Tour Director, Gene Thornton, visited the Bolivar Peninsula recently targeting an interest in scheduling a series of Speckled Trout events to be held at Stingaree Bait camp & Marina.

Third Annual Jane Long Festival

The Third Annual Jane Long Festival, a tribute to the life of the “Mother of Texas”, will be held on Saturday, October 13, from 10 am to 4 pm at Fort Travis Seashore Park on Bolivar Peninsula. 27th Annual Texas Crab Festival – WOW

The 27th Annual Crab Festival got off to a ZyDeCajun Rockin’ beginning May 11th! Wayne Toups & ZyDeCajun band entertained a record-breaking crowd on Friday evening. The booths were set up, the carnival rides were twirling and the beer was flowing.
